If you volunteer with a charity at an Ontario Charitable Gaming Centre, take five minutes and tell us why your work matters. That is the whole entry — and it puts you in the draw at your own centre and in the province-wide grand prize draw.

Four things have to be true. You are 19 or older as of the day you enter, you are a legal resident of Ontario, and you are an active volunteer with both a participating charity and a participating Charitable Gaming Centre.

One entry per volunteer, no matter who fills in the form.

Employees, officers and directors of the Ontario Charitable Gaming Association, of participating centre operators, and of the vendors administering this Contest cannot enter.

Fill in the form above. It takes about five minutes and there is no login, no account and nothing to buy.

You tell us who you are, which charity and which centre you volunteer at, and then you finish one sentence: the good we do matters because… Anywhere from 10 to 750 characters. One true line is a complete answer.

A photo or a short video is welcome but optional, and does not count as an entry on its own — the written answer is what qualifies.

There are 38 prizes, worth $11,550 at retail value.

  • One prize at each of the 37 centres, ARV $300 each — a volunteer swag package (approx. $100), a $100 prepaid cash card, and a $100 CanadaHelps Charity Gift Card you give to a registered charity of your choosing.
  • One provincial grand prize, ARV $450 — the same package, with a $250 CanadaHelps Charity Gift Card instead of $100.

The grand prize is drawn first, from every eligible entry in Ontario, and that winner is removed from their own centre's draw so nobody wins twice.

CanadaHelps is not a sponsor or administrator of this Contest and is not responsible for its operation, winner selection or prize fulfillment.

Yes. If you would rather not do this online, a coordinator, staff member or fellow volunteer can fill in the form for you, as long as they have your permission and the words are yours.

It is still one entry per volunteer, and the prize belongs to you, not to the person who submitted it. Ask at your centre if you would like a hand.

You get a confirmation email. Draws take place on or about October 14, 2026.

If you are drawn, we make at least two attempts to reach you. You then have five business days to respond to the first notification, answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question correctly and without help, and complete a declaration and release form.

Sharing what volunteers write is the point of the campaign. When you enter, Section 10 of the Rules gives OCGA a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use your answer and any photo or video you send, to promote charitable gaming.

If your answer is used, you are identified by first name, last initial, charity and centre — never your full surname, address or email.

Section 10 gives OCGA the right to publish, not an obligation to. No entry is guaranteed to appear.

Canadian law does not allow a prize to be given away on pure chance, so every winner answers one arithmetic question, on their own, within a time limit. It looks like this:

That is the whole thing. You are asked it after the draw, when we contact you — never as part of your entry.
